About the Role
We are looking for an experienced People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner with a strong background and management of industrial relation matters, employee relations and workers’ compensation, as well as working with government agencies (e.g. Fair Work and NDIA). This role is pivotal in ensuring the continued success of our business as we expand. As a P&C Business Partner at Leora, you will work closely with senior leaders and managers to support our people strategy and ensure the fair and consistent application of policies and practices. You’ll thrive in this role if you have a passion for navigating complex employee relations matters and workplace issues, and a commitment to creating a positive and supportive work environment. You will mostly be based in our beautiful head office in Chatswood NSW.
What you will be responsible for
As a P&C Business Partner, you will play a critical role in:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on industrial relations, employee relations, government collaborations and workers’ compensation matters.
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions and grievances.
- Guiding resolution of employment-related concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Providing support to managers and teams on workplace policies and best practices to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborating with leadership to drive continuous improvement in HR processes and contribute to our overall people strategy.
- Acting as a trusted partner to key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient issue resolution.
- Monitoring and managing workers’ compensation claims and assisting in return-to-work programs.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of workplace policies, ensuring legal compliance and best practice standards.
Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in a People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner role, with a strong focus on industrial relations, employee relations, government collaborations and workers’ compensation.
- A deep understanding of employment law, industrial relations practices and relevant Fair Work Commission processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex employee issues and provide effective, legally sound solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, always striving to improve processes and outcomes.
