What is icare?

icare or Insurance and Care NSW provides insurance and care services to the people, businesses and communities of NSW. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on the road, icare supports their long-term care needs to improve quality of life, including helping people return to work.

Leora Healthcare is a provider for icare participants of:

  • Lifetime Care – icare’s Lifetime Care and Support Scheme pays for treatment, rehabilitation and care for people who have been severely injured in a motor accident in NSW.
  • Workers Care – If your injury at work was severe, you may meet the criteria for your treatment and care needs to be managed through icare’s Workers Care Program.
  • Dust Diseases Care – Formed to provide treatment and financial support to workers who have a disability as a result of a compensable dust disease contracted in a NSW workplace. Eligible workers living with a dust disease can receive financial support from icare, as well as medical treatment and services such as walking aids, home modifications and at-home nursing care.

We are a provider for Lifetime Care, Workers Care and Dust Diseases Care. We can be your provider once an approval is given after a thorough independent assessment by an approved assessor from icare.

Our support workers can assist with day-to-day activities that are difficult for icare participants to manage because of their injury or condition. This can include personal care, managing medication, home rehabilitation programs, managing your daily routines or getting you to your injury-related treatments and appointments.
