Leora named AFR Best Place to Work for fourth year in a row
Leora ranks fifth on the Health list of the AFR Best Place to Work, from over 600 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
It’s our super hat trick! For the fourth consecutive year, Leora Healthcare has been recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Best Places to Work.
We rank fifth on the Health list of the AFR Best Place to Work, from over 600 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
“We are grateful and proud to receive this recognition for the fourth year in a row,” Leora Founder and Co-CEO Esha Oberoi said.
“Appearing on this prestigious list reaffirms our dedication to prioritising the wellbeing and growth of our team members. By supporting our people, we can continue to deliver exceptional service and drive positive outcomes for our clients and communities.”
The annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review BOSS Magazine, is based on a rigorous assessment process by behavioural science consultancy, Inventium, which identifies ten key factors that are critical to employees feeling motivated and engaged at work.
We received commendation for HeartVenture, a unique and exciting program that further empowers Leorans to pursue their personal interests.
Encouraging personal learning
Studies have shown that workers in disability and aged care are susceptible to depression, anxiety and psychological distress. This shows the need to make mental health a priority.
Employers often overlook encouraging employees to find time for the activities they enjoy. Further research shows that having a hobby is linked to lower levels of depression and improvement of mental health.
Enter HeartVenture.
According to Joseph Assad, Leora Chief People Officer, “Under our innovative HeartVenture program, each Leoran is given access to an individual grant. This grant can be used to explore and invest in activities that truly ignite their passions, outside of work.”
The choice of activity is entirely up to the employee. Leorans can enroll in a cooking class, a sewing course, or a DJ workshop with the financial support of Leora.
“HeartVenture complements our staff’s professional development by encouraging personal learning and holistic wellbeing,” Joseph said.
Leora extends our warm congratulations to the other nine finalists on the AFR Best Place to Work Health list:
