Illuminating the Future: A Night of Metamorphosis at the Leora Healthcare Launch
On 28 November, the Leora Healthcare launch party was held to celebrate the organisation’s transformation and vision of empowering lives through compassionate care.
Leora Healthcare, formerly known as Afea Care Services, celebrated its official launch at the Waterview in Bicentennial Park in Sydney on 28 November. The Leora Healthcare launch marked a transformative milestone in the company’s journey, symbolised by the butterfly motif that encapsulates growth, renewal and a new horizon for the organisation.

Attended by clients, support workers and partners from the disability care, aged care and mental health sectors, the evening highlighted Leora Healthcare’s mission to empower people through compassionate care and innovative services.
The theme of ‘metamorphosis’ was brought to life through formal attire reflecting light and transformation, the glow of a lighting ceremony and speeches that echoed the organisation’s commitment to positive change.
Leora Healthcare Launch: A night to celebrate the future
The Leora Healthcare launch began with an Acknowledgement of Country by Ariana and Arjan Oberoi, setting the tone for a night rooted in respect and connection.
A lighting ceremony led by Leora leaders, clients and team members embodied the organisation’s mission to bring light to the lives of people.
Esha Oberoi, Founder and Co-CEO of Leora Healthcare, reflected on the company’s journey while sharing her vision for a more impactful and purpose-driven future.
“For us, the butterfly represents much more than transformation,” she said. “What it signifies is resilience and the potential for extraordinary growth. As Leora Healthcare, we move forward with a clear purpose, ready to inspire hope and create lasting impact for the communities and the people we serve.”
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a curated programme that included performances, a three-course dinner and awards celebrating excellence within the Leora community.

Recognising excellence in care
The awards segment celebrated the contributions of team members who exemplify Leora’s values. Gaurav Oberoi, Leora Healthcare Co-CEO, presented the Support Worker of the Year Award and the 2024 North Star Champion Awards, spotlighting each individual who has gone above and beyond in their roles.
The night’s honourees were:
- Divashni Shivangni Prakash – Support Worker of the Year
- Pravin Chand (Operations Manager) – North Star Champion of the Month
- Tayla Gavellas (Accommodation Manager) – North Star Champion of the Year
