When we talk about healthcare, we often think of doctors, nurses and frontline carers. But behind every person who receives support is a network of people making that care possible consistently and with purpose.
These are the roles that don’t always get spotlighted, but they’re the ones that also help people access high quality care when and where they need it.
At Leora, people like Nav Saini are helping build that foundation through leadership, empathy and a deep sense of commitment to the community she serves.

Helping people access the care they deserve
Nav didn’t enter healthcare by chance, she chose it. “I’ve always been passionate about making a real impact in people’s day-to-day lives,” she says. “That’s what led me to the disability and aged care sector.”
As Team Leader of Leora’s Business Development Representative team, Nav helps make support more accessible not just through processes, but by understanding what people need and ensuring it’s within reach.

“Being part of this team means I’m able to bridge the gap between the participants and the services that they require to help them feel empowered and live their best lives,” Nav says.
Proud of where we work
Leora was recently named one of AFR’s Best Places to Work for the fifth year in a row.
“That speaks volumes about the quality of care and consistency that we provide,” Nav shares.
It’s a reflection of what happens when genuine care shapes both the service and the workplace culture behind it.

You grow through what you go through
A quote that has stayed with Nav over the years is simple, but powerful:
“You grow through what you go through.”

“It just means your personal development and developing your resilience through the experiences that we have,” she says. “Resilience is a value that I hold very close to me because I think it’s really important to go through challenges and be able to grow from them.”
It’s a mindset that has shaped how she works, leads and supports others.
Balance through the simple things
Outside of work, Nav turns to nature for calm and perspective. It might sound simple, but it does create a meaningful impact for her.
“Being outdoors and surrounded by the natural world helps me feel calm and reconnect with myself.”
Leading a team in the disability and aged care sector means holding space for others while staying grounded yourself, and for Nav, nature teaches her how to slow down and find that balance.
It’s a reminder that caring for others starts with caring for yourself, and sometimes, it’s the simplest routines that help us show up fully for the people we support.
