Interstate Expansion of our Care Services

Leora Healthcare provided support to thousands of families across Sydney and Melbourne – and we have expanded our reach to Brisbane! With our continued interstate expansion, we are bringing our compassionate support to even more communities and families.

New Homes for NDIS Participants

We’re excited to keep providing warm, loving and healing homes to even more NDIS participants. We expanded our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio, opening new properties every two weeks in the last quarter of 2024, adding a whopping nine new properties this year.

In April, we became the new onsite shared support provider at The Grace in Hornsby! An overwhelming majority of tenants voted for us as their choice provider, and we hit the ground running with support worker training and services.

Spring Square Bankstown Launch

Spring has sprung at Spring Square 💐 We wore our best spring florals to formally launch AccessAccom’s premium Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartments in Bankstown.

We enjoyed live music, good food and inspiring conversations with our guests and Bilal El-Hayek, Mayor of the City of Canterbury Bankstown.

In the words of Mayor El-Hayek: “Every person deserves to live with dignity, love, support, compassion, and what these two wonderful organisations are doing are bringing all that together.”

Tea Tree Grand Opening

Tea Tree in Tahmoor features five villas mindfully designed for people living with disability. Esha Oberoi joined Good Housing’s Lily Nehme for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Mayor of Wollondilly Shire Council Matt Gould. We agree wholeheartedly with Mayor Gould’s message: “Every individual, whatever their background or ability, needs a home where they can feel comfortable and have the opportunity to thrive.”

Edmondson Park Supported Independent Living

We opened a new Supported Independent Living home in Edmondson Park. In this stunning four-bedroom home, NDIS participants can enjoy an expansive open-plan living area, a sprawling patio and private backyard, where they can host gatherings with friends or simply enjoy a quiet moment alone.

Mental Health Employee Assistance Program

A growing number of businesses are now providing immediate mental health support to their employees with the next-generation Leora platform. This includes North Ryde RSL, which, through this groundbreaking partnership with Leora Healthcare, became the first club in Australia to offer round-the-clock mental health support to its staff. We have now also expanded our services to businesses in New Zealand!

This year alone, the Leora platform welcomed more than 300 users and facilitated more than 500 mental health sessions (therapy, AI chat and live chat), demonstrating our growing impact in providing accessible and diverse mental health support.

Celebrations: Diwali, Dopamine Dressing and More

As we do every year, we celebrated Harmony Week and Diwali in honour of our diverse workforce and the multicultural families we serve in the community.

On R U OK Day (12 September) we unlocked the mood-boosting powers of our wardrobe and wore outfits that made us feel ✨ amazing ✨ Let’s make life-changing conversations fashionable!

We dedicate the month of May to mindfulness and self-care, which is a big part of our award-winning workplace culture. To enable us to better serve and uplift people in our community, we recognise that we must take care of ourselves and our mental health.

We had weekly in-office Mindfulness May activities, from afternoon tea to office Pilates sessions to training with world-leading mental health research organisation, Black Dog Institute.

Lunch & Learn

Lunch is better with a little sprinkle of sweetness and a dash of knowledge! 🧁✨🍽️ Our deepest thanks to our friends in the NDIS sector for joining our special ‘Lunch and Learn‘ session. Attendees were able to kick back, enjoy some nibbles, learn something new and decompress with a fun cupcake decorating contest.

All In Gala

We went all out at the All In Gala!

It can be challenging for people with disability to socialise and enjoy a fun night out. The All Inclusive Gala broke down barriers and provided NDIS participants, their parents, carers and friends of all ages the opportunity to join the community and have a ball!

We’re very proud to support this initiative with other disability organisations so participants can have free entry and thoroughly enjoy the night.
