Important changes from 24 November 2025

The updated arrangements include several important changes, such as:

  • New price limits for Art Therapists and Music Therapists, based on recommendations from the Independent Review of Art and Music Therapies.
  • Revised claiming guidance for ‘Other Professional’ support items to align with the same review’s recommendations.
  • Removal of the COVID Addendum and related support items, reflecting the transition away from pandemic-related measures.
  • Updated Modified Monash Model classifications, in line with the latest updates from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
  • Adjustments to the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) calculator, reflecting the annual indexation process linked to Disability Support Pension updates.
  • Changes across the Assistive Technology, Home Modifications and Consumables Code Guide, including the creation, modification and removal of certain support items to ensure alignment with the NDIS Supports List.
  • Updated item descriptions for Community Social and Recreational Activities, Innovative Community Participation and Community Participation Activities to make them clearer and more consistent.

The NDIA has also introduced a new Operational Guideline for Therapy Supports to help participants understand what therapy supports are, when they can be funded, and who can deliver them under the NDIS.
